Dynamite brings down precarious boulder on Hwy. 50

California Department of Transportation crews used dynamite to dislodge a huge chunk of granite from a hillside above Highway 50 near Bridal Veil Falls this morning.
The boulder was not in imminent danger of falling on the roadway, but officials decided to bring it down before it posed a hazard.
