Weather advisory issued for Lake Tahoe

A winter weather advisory for Lake Tahoe has been issued by the National Weather Service from 10am Monday to 9am Tuesday.

Snow is expected to begin falling Monday morning and is likely to get heavier as the day progresses.

Four to 8 inches could fall at the lake, with 6 to 12 inches above 7,000 feet.

Snow is expected to drop to 5,500 feet.
