Below level snowpack better than last year in Nevada

The winter snow pack accumulation is generally better than a year ago but still below average, government officials report.

The National Weather Service and the Natural Resources Conservation Service issued a report Wednesday that detailed the water supply outlook for Nevada and the eastern Sierra.

It says snow pack accumulation got off to a promising start in December but by mid January has fallen below average.
