The reported would-be child abduction on Jan. 15 of a South Lake Tahoe boys looks like it was the result of him throwing a snowball at a truck, according to police.

As a result of the investigation, the police department could find no evidence to verify an attempted abduction. It appears the incident might have been a reaction to ice or snow thrown at the truck, a press release states.
