A bear suspected of prior break-ins to homes in the Incline Village area was shot dead today as it rushed a Washoe County sheriff’s deputy, officials said.
The black bear, a 10-year-old male weighing about 600 pounds, was discovered hibernating beneath a condo in the Bitterbrush development, said Carl Lackey of the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
