The League to Save Lake Tahoe is gearing up to move into a building that it owns.

The environmental group is in escrow on the old Lorraine Bakery at the corner of Highway 50 and Third Street in South Lake Tahoe.

The League offices are currently on Emerald Bay Road on land that years ago was a marsh.

Neither Executive Director Rochelle Nason nor Program Director Carol Young was available for comment and the person answering the phone said she was not at liberty to discuss the move.
