Olympics hit home for Tahoe-Reno area

On the 50th anniversary of the Squaw Valley Olympics, residents of the Reno-Sparks-Lake Tahoe area have good reasons to watch this month’s events in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The most important reason, of course, is the competition. Nearly a dozen athletes with connections to this area will be going to the games, which should give area fans more than a passing interest in the competition.
