STR collecting tires for free

Through June 30, South Tahoe Refuse in South Lake Tahoe will dispose of used tires on the first and third Saturdays of each month. This is open to El Dorado County residents.

The service is provided through a grant from the California Integrated Waste Management Board.

A limit of nine tires can be recycled per vehicle, none will be accepted from a business, no rims will be accepted and no large equipment tires accepted.
