Skier Julia Mancuso did a little podium dance and jingled her two Olympic silver medals as if to tease a welcome-home party of several thousand gathered today at Northstar ski resort.

“I want to show you something,” she said on the stage at the village ice rink and then raised her arms to show off an Olympic medal dangling from each hand. “I’ve got three Olympic medals, one gold and two silver. And it all came from skiiing every day here at Squaw Valley
