Wind advisory in Lake Tahoe

A wind advisory has been issued for the Lake Tahoe area, including the lake, from 11am to 6pm today.

The National Weather Service says to expect winds from the southwest at 15-20mph, with gusts up to 35 mph.

Waves could be 2-3 feet high. The highest waves will be along the northeast shores from Kings Beach to Glenbrook. Small boats will be prone to capsizing and should remain off the lake until conditions improve.
