Graffiti cleanup a success in South Tahoe
To the community,
On May 1, the Leadership Lake Tahoe organization from the Chamber of Commerce organized a graffiti coverage effort which resulted in the covering/removal of graffiti at 65 locations throughout the city. The program was well organized and there were no issues. As a matter of fact dispatch received calls from citizens thanking the city for this effort. This project will significantly contribute to our efforts to cover graffiti as soon as possible after it is reported. The weather and reduced manpower resulted in the amount of graffiti to become almost overwhelming.

K-Tahoe had the pleasure of interviewing Kelly and Lindsay, the two organizers of this event as a Lake Tahoe Leadership project. I could not have been more impressed with their passion for the project and the way they organized it. Ladies like Kellyand Lindsay are just two more reasons we are a great community.

Lindsay and I were the “Communication Coordinators” and this wouldn’t have been possible without our other team members: Shannon, Heather and Steve. Thank you to all the community volunteers and businesses who helped make this happen!
