STATELINE — The Doobie Brothers, followed by Chicago, took the stage late Saturday in front of fans at the Harvey’s Outdoor Arena and concluded the 3-hour performance singing six songs together.

The groups performed in front of at least a 90-percent capacity crowd, who showed up despite the chilling temperatures. The concert was one of several being held as part of the Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series.

The Doobie Brothers opened with “Take Me in Your Arms” and “Jesus is Just Alright.”

The group then took a pause from playing its hits of the past and discussed its future. It played three songs from the upcoming “Doobie Brothers” studio album due out later this year: “Nobody,” “World Gone Crazy” and “The Chateau,” which seemed to excite the crowd as much as the nostalgic tunes.

The groups were both good, but anyone that gone over the years notices that the BIG screens on both sides of the stage are gone, along with plastic that use to block the wind.
Another thing was brought to my attention was the large audio speakers that are usually up in the towers are sitting on the ground in front the stage.
We had people who paid the highest amount cash for the seating, were being blown out their seats and needed ear plugs.
(they need to get the speakers up off the ground for better bass, quality sound.)
The first 10 rolls of choice seating are way too loud. While the rest of the area has blank holes needs more punch.
(what happen did the T.R.P.A. RUIN THIS EVENT TOO?)
They do have more food vendors for hot meals.(chicken, burgers, hot dogs)

    THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY,FUN.

I knew better took warm clothing, people in there with short sleeves, shorts didn’t look to happy.
