Tahoe’s Special Olympians score big at weekend event

Team Tahoe sent a group of swimmers and track athletes to the Northern California State Special Olympics this past weekend.

Several medals were brought home by the local contingent.

Events were on the campus of UC Davis.

Vivia Wampler swims her way to a broze medal in the 25 meter freestyle for Team Tahoe during the Northern California State Special Olympics competition on Saturday at the Schaal Aquatic Center at UC Davis.

$It\'s all smiles for Lynn Taylor who won gold in the 100-meter free at UC Davis.$

Swimming the third leg of the 4X25 meter relay, Carla McCloed helps her Team Tahoe members win the gold medal in the race on Sunday during the Northern California State Special Olympics at the Schaal Aquatic Center on the campus of UC Davis.
