The former Wallace Theaters in north Carson City will see new theatrical life this weekend with the opening of the discount Carson Stadium Cinemas.

The multiplex opens July 29 with eight second-run titles.

The theaters were last open in 2007, but closed shortly after the new Galaxy Theaters opened south of the Wallace multiplex.
