Rice’s soft hands make him a threat on links

Jerry Rice readily will admit that when he played football he was addicted to the game.
He’d do whatever it took to get better. And by the time he retired in 2004, with three Super Bowl rings in hand, there was little doubt he was the greatest wide receiver in NFL history.
But once his Hall of Fame career ended, he was left with a void. The all-consuming passion that was football was gone.
“I was like, ‘OK, what am I going to do now?'” Rice said Wednesday during a teleconference to promote next week’s American Century Championship golf tournament.
Well, he’s found plenty of things to fill the void.
