Ted Gaines and Roger Niello, two Republican assemblymen who are special election rivals for the late Sen. Dave Cox’s seat, clashed on the Assembly floor Thursday over a bill that would require kids to wear helmets while skiing or snowboarding.

What’s next? Mandatory floatation devices for all persons under eighteen while swimming, whether in a home pool, the Pacific Ocean, or Lake Tahoe.
The number of drownings far outnumbers the number of ski or rider deaths. In fact this should be a emergency measure by the legislature.
Thank goodness for our big brother.
While we are protecting our young, how about mandatory bullet proof vests for students in gang invested areas, etc, etc.
John Stossel must have a serious migraine after being informed of this.
    PLEASE!
