  40. Skibum says - Posted: August 24, 2010

To answer some questions some have as to the need about this benefit the answer is yes but I did not ask for it. This was generously offered by the Rise’s due to the recent turn of events that has happened to our family. In the last 2 years I have lost a finger, had to retire from the military after 20 years due to the injury, lost my building valued at $725K in a forced forclosure from western highland, lost $250K in cash that was tied to it, am losing my home which I borrowed against to build a future to wachovia, am down 60% in work, been hit with over $30K in fines by the state of Ca of which I proved them wrong of but paid anyway and have had to have four burials, our dog of 13 years, both my wifes parents, my mom went into a coma but is better now and now have buried my son who shot himself, he was never the same when he came home from the military after five years. I don’t know who “They” are but I wish “They” would give us a break. There ya go.

  41. Parker says - Posted: August 24, 2010

Well Skibum, you Prove one cliche’, “Life is not fair!”, and Disprove another, “People get what they deserve”.

You’ve worked hard and tried to make your/our community a better place! Thanks for that! My Deepest Condolences!!

  42. Anna Dixon says - Posted: September 17, 2010

Please let us know if we can assist with anything.
    We shall pray for you.

  43. Jason Bentley says - Posted: March 10, 2011

I served with Kaleb on the USS Barry. We were in the same division. I just heard the news about what happened from a friend and am in total shock. I’m so sorry to hear about your loss.

  44. Michael J. de Leon says - Posted: March 20, 2011

i just heard the story from my best friend Jason Bentley. I also served with Kaleb on USS BARRY. This is very shocking. Just got off the phone with Bentley and we talked about a good memory with Kaleb in one of the countries we visited. What I remember is how close of a family we all were onboard the BARRY. Kaleb and I would always roll up to a club and engage in a dance off with the locals there and end up going break dance crazy! we laughed so hard on the way back home (our ship). I’ve been in the Navy for 17 years, and all the best of people I remember are from the BARRY. I have never forgotten him even though we’re thousands of miles away from eachother. My Condolences to the Curtzwiler’s. Aloha my brother and watch over us….Peace…
