Clint Schue, owner of Brothers Bar on Emerald Bay Road, has pulled out of the South Lake Tahoe City Council race.

However, because of the timing his name will remain on the ballot.

This leaves 10 people vying for three seats. No incumbents are running.

Who’s next? I suspect by the time of the November election the number of those still in the running will be cut in half. If we have 5 good candidates to choose from, for 3 open seats, we should consider ourselves lucky.

P.S. a ‘good’ candidate is someone who is running on more than just one issue. Just my opinion.

I’d be curious who Tony the Tiger, Rourke has in mind. It’s going to take a Heavenly invasion to turn this town around and put food on the table. If Lukins had upgraded their water system we may have had some big retail outlet at the Y but they sspent it on themselves instead of the customers they pretend to represent. Sorry Lukins – just the truth.
