Environmental documents released for SLT General Plan update

The draft environmental impact report for South Lake Tahoe’s General Plan update was released today. People have until Nov. 12 to comment on it.

A public hearing is scheduled for Oct. 14 at 3pm at Lake Tahoe Airport before the Planning Commission. The City Council will take on the issue Nov. 2 at 9am.

The existing General Plan was adopted in 1999. The purpose of the document is to act a planning tool for the city for the next 20 years.
