Former MLB pitcher Bob Ayrault opened The Yard, a full-service baseball academy, in Reno last week.

The Yard, located at 4060 Kietzke Lane, offers specialized sports training, lessons, clinics and cage time for players and coaches. Individual and group lessons are offered seven days per week.

Lessons cost $45 per 30 minutes, $70 per hour or $50 per coach for two-hour Little League coaching clinics.

Ayrault, who was born in South Lake Tahoe, played two years in the major leagues.
