Wonder what and who comprises major contributor “Park PAC” in Nevada and what their agenda is.
Park PAC could not be found on the Nevada Secretary of State’s website for registered political action committees.

Is not the Park PAC the political action committee of the Park family who owns the Mont Bleu casino and property, as well as other large holdings in STATELINE, NEVADA?
Park CAttle is now Edgewood Company. THey are building a big hotel on the golf course and need TAUs from South Lake tahoe to make it happen

Probably a good guess it has something to do with the TAUs and project coming before the Council eventually.
Davis/Curry getting money from Park Cattle, wouldn’t that mean they would have to recuse themselves anytime Park Cattle’s project goes to the council?
Swanson and Curry getting money from Lodging wouldn’t that mean the same thing?
And Kubby and pot dispensaries, he’d have to excuse himself wouldn’t he? If he’s under the influence of pot and making decisions, can those decisions be challenged?
Well, looks like Curry and Davis are out. Consider someone like Alice Jones to look after your dollars, to review the books and peel back the waste. You’ve read how the county is having a difficult time cutting $11 miilion from their budget. South Lake Tahoe will be next folks. It’s not going to get any better for a few years. We need transparency at this time which will be provided by Alice Jones. Claire and Hallen are my personal #2 and #3 picks although I hope there isn’t some hidden agenda from the lodging association, Claire.

This is one article that I am glad I’m not a part of. I have run an independent campaign with contributions only from family members. I did not ask for contributions because of the negative perceptions you receive them from.
Very few voters would ever be made aware of these large, last-minute campaign contributions (IOU’s) without independently pursuing themselves the fine print on these forms…much less know where to find them.
I thank this publication for this timely research and reporting.
Mr. Campbell needs to do his homework, especially his math. Basically he is claiming that Tom Davis took the big donations in the Council race when Tom has not taken the most by far.Tom is in a distant fourth place in that regard. Tom did receive $ 1,500 from Park, However so did Joy Curry, Angela Swanson and Claire Fortier. In fact Claire Fortier and Angela Swanson each received an additional huge donation of $ 5,000 from the South Tahoe Lodging Association.Mr. Kubby has received very large amounts from out of town sources. Mr. Campbell when he lived here, had favorite targets and conspiracies. He tended to ignore the facts that didn’t fit his theories. That has happened again. If he would look through all the reports he would see that Tom Davis had mostly small donations from local residents and that the huge donations to others ought to be where the light is shined.

Hallen took over 1,500.00 from the marijuana collectives, are you telling me they wont expect some kind of a payback? So money from Park is a no no, but money from marijuana growers is acceptable?
Consider that donations from these local entities represent trust that these are the candidates that they think are strongest for leading us out of the hole. These donors live here too: they want our town back on track just like everyone else! Claire Fortier is the strongest candidate for leading us on City Council: no hidden agendas, her integrity is intact, and she will cast her votes for what she feels is truly best for our community.
