By afternoon it is likely to be a powder day on the slopes of Lake Tahoe, according to Curtis Fong, the Guy from Tahoe.

The storm is expected to subside later this morning. A wind advisory for Lake Tahoe is in effect until 10am by the National Weather Service in Reno.
