Upper lifts at Heavenly and Squaw are starting the morning on wind hold.

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a wind advisory for Lake Tahoe until 8 tonight, with 2- to 3-foot waves possible.

Rain and snow are in the forecast for the next three days in the Tahoe basin.
