Snow park permits on sale

California snow parks are on sale for the 19 areas on the Sierra, which include 10 near Lake Tahoe.

This is the first year they can be purchased online. A $1.95 service fee is charged for each online purchase, as well as a mailing fee for seasonal permits. Permits are $5 daily or $25 for the season.

Each locale is essentially a parking lot cleared of snow to provide access to snow activities..
