The National Weather Service has cancelled the winter weather advisory for today in the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Mostly sunny weather is in the forecast for this first week of the new year. Highs are expected to be about 30 degrees at the beginning of the week, warming to balmy 42 on Friday.
