This past weekend the Tahoe Grizzlies Pee Wees (ages 11-12) were on the road to Fresno. They were set to take on the Falcons who they had previously beat 13-1 and 3-0 in their two meetings in South Lake Tahoe in November. The game on Saturday was tied, but then the Falcons prevailed by scoring three short-handed goals in a row to beat the Grizzlies 6–3.

The Grizzlies came out of hibernation on Sunday morning and managed to tie the second game 4–4. The Falcons scored another two goals short-handed).

With that extra point earned from the tie the Grizzlies are only two points away from securing a playoff berth. They remain in first place of their division based on their overall win percentage.

This weekend the Tahoe Grizzlies Pee Wees are headed to Vacaville and San Jose for two games against the Vacaville Jets and the San Jose Junior Sharks.

The undefeated Tahoe Grizzlies Squirts are also on the road in San Jose against the Junior Sharks on Saturday and on Sunday they face the Capital Thunder in Roseville.

The next home games are Feb. 12-13 at South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena (1176 Rufus Allen Blvd.). Admission is always free to all hockey fans.
