Nevada approves bear hunting, including in Tahoe

The state Wildlife Commission voted Friday to establish Nevada’s first bear hunting season in an emotional-packed meeting that drew opposition from animal rights activists.
The nine-member commission voted 7-1 with Commissioner Charles Howell casting the dissenting vote.
Chairman Scott Raine did not vote.
