Aramark has been making some changes to its South Shore operation.

The company that runs the two paddle-wheelers on Lake Tahoe along with the snowmobile operation in Nevada and Zephyr Cove Resort needs a director of marketing and sales, as well as an executive chef for the restaurant.

queenAustin Sass, who had the sales position since Carol Chaplin left the company in 2008 to run Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, told Lake Tahoe News he did not know what he is going to do now – other than enjoy skiing this winter.

Jody Bell, general manager of Zephyr Cove operations in Tahoe, said no other personnel changes have taken place or are anticipated.

A new service being offered this winter is après ski cruises on the Tahoe Queen on Wednesdays for $29. The 90-minute excursion includes a drink and all-you-can-eat appetizers.

Sorry Full, but making insinuations and insulting someone’s charactor isn’t always the best way to get your point across.

The real story with Zephyr Cove is the way the operation is being run. Why has the Coast Guard not investigated why the Tahoe Queen has gotten stuck on a sandbar at least 6 times in the past year. Including Wednesday night January 19th for over an hour.
Zephyr Cove who runs the Tahoe Queen does not want to dredge the harbor due to cost. Instead, it continues to operate despite the fact that it inconvenices guests and presents a safety issue.
Their lease with Ski Run Marina requires them to dredge access to the dock. Since it has not been done in years, the sand has filled in the harbor. Its comical watching them take try to tow it out with a little boat when this happens though it scares the heck out of its passengers.
Check their boat logs and the truth will be seen.

Lease requires them to dredge? I remember when owner dredged in the middle of the night rather then going to jail for dredging same area. Isn’t progress great?
