• Prescription drugs in the household may get in the wrong hands or prompt abuse. For that, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department has agreed to take back unwanted pharmaceuticals on April 30 from 9am to 1pm in the Safeway parking lot at 1020 Johnson Blvd.

•The South Lake Tahoe Police Department would like to remind motorists to be aware of parking in spaces designated for the disabled. The current fine for unlawfully parking in properly marked handicapped space in the city is $450.
