Wage gap in Nevada — women make $7K less than men

New research shows that on average, full-time working women in Nevada are paid $7,734 less per year than their male counterparts.
In Nevada, on average, a woman working full time is paid $35,691 per year, while a man working full time is paid $43,425 per year.
The study was released Monday, the day before Equal Pay Day. Today marks how far into the new year women must work to catch up with what men were paid the year before.
Unequal wages are harming both families and the state economy, according to the National Partnership for Women & Families and the American Association of University Women, the two entities that jointly produced the research.
