A man is behind bars after allegedly trying to rob the CVS Pharmacy on Emerald Bay Road in South Lake Tahoe and then concocting a story about a home invasion involving his children.

Officers said Adam Roland confessed he had planned and executed the robbery of CVS Pharmacy with someone he owed money to.

Roland was arrested May 1 on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, attempted robbery and false reporting of an emergency.
