Ben Kunibe — 1917-2011
Ben Kunibe, longtime South Lake Tahoe resident, died April 30, 2011.
Mr. Kunibe was 93.

Mr. Kunibe was an active member of the Optimist Club. Last weekend he participated in the club’s annual Easter egg hunt.
He died of heart failure at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
In November he was profiled on Lake Tahoe News.

Benny will be greatly missed. Mike and I are so very sad to hear of his passing.

Ben will be sorely missed – I will always remember his smiling face and cheerful attitude when he would stop by just for a visit at Placer Title. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Ben is a Lake Tahoe icon. As good hearted a man as we have ever met. He gave us all a lesson on volunteerism. His family can be very proud of him. Our heartfelt condolences to all of his family.
