The letter that City Council wrote to the League to Save Lake Tahoe (following the May 3 City Board Meeting) says nothing new. I expected the Board to ask questions and open dialogue about what the League wants and how the two organizations can work together to achieve their mutual interests in the lake. This letter just is more of the same “my way or the highway”. Wasn’t the City going to request having one of the Board Members attend the League’s monthly meetings in this letter? Weren’t they supposed to write a letter to get answers and cooperation? Sounds instead like they are just telling the League to just get out of the way.

Note: I was surprised when listening to the Council meeting video of May 3 that the two Boards’ members hadn’t even had conversations with each other prior to this May 3 meeting. Why?
