Controversial grave markers removed in El Dorado County

Controversial grave markers at the Mormon Island Relocation Cemetery in El Dorado Hills have been removed in preparation for installation of new markers.
The original markers on graves relocated from the Negro Hill Cemetery in 1954 had to be changed because they substituted the racist N-word for Negro where they indicated the original location.
