• Owners of the Garfinkle building (former Mikasa site) are talking to South Lake Tahoe planning officials about a possible face-lift and roof on the Y eyesore. The owners are negotiating with a prospective tenant (who they won’t name until the lease is signed) to make the building suit the tenant’s needs. But right now it is just talk because the city has not received any applications.
