I would want to talk to Reid and tell him to stop over spending our tax dollars and start acting responsible and in the best interest of this country.
I would say “Get Nevada out of the Basin Contract”. TRPA, League to “Enslave” Lake Tahoe, Lahonton – all need to be disbanded. It is time to start fresh with good, scientific evidence, to keep the lake clean. Telling me I can’t add 3 feet to my deck is not going to affect the lake!
Yes, by all means, Mr. Reid is totally responsible for the over-spending in our country. The republicans had absolutely nothing to do with any of the money spent in the last 10 years. Attaboy.
Personally, I would simply point out the beauty of Lake Tahoe and ask that our politicians support keeping the Lake for future generations once they put our fiscal house in order. I would ask that they stop the waste, fraud, political grandstanding and blame game to work together for our country, and Lake Tahoe.
Boone,
What should Reid cut? Should he stop all Medicare and Social Security? Stop defense spending? Veterans’ benefits? If those concerned about excessive government spending opted out of all of their entitlements including all tax deductions, you would see a difference.
