The 1,140-acre lightning-caused fire near Bridgeport was fully contained Thursday.

It started Sept. 25 near Buckeye Campground and Buckeye Hot Springs.

No structures were lost.

Smoke at times blew north, causing those in the Carson City-Reno area to be able to smell it and see it.

Nearly 300 firefighters worked the blaze, including a crew form the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District.
