Douglas County School District is having two meeting to tell the community more about Common Core State Standards.

The meetings will include information about future small group work sessions by grade level and subject area on this topic. Those will begin in October, with the initial focus on writing instruction for grades K-6.

The first general meeting is Sept. 26 at 5:30pm, Carson Valley Middle School in Gardnerville. The second meeting is Oct. 6 at 5:30pm at Zephyr Cove Elementary School.
