Get the snowblower ready. Put away the lawnmower. Have leaf bags on hand.
Oh yeah, head to Hope Valley to view the colors. One of the most beautiful sights in the country.
Crisp mornings, clear air, the smell of woodstoves, the town’s population goes down a few notches and get ready for another winter. Indian summers are the best. I vote for one until Thankgiving.
Quiet time, and get things in order for the Winter.
….”Fall In Tahoe”….
Fall is in the air,….
leaves now turning bright.
Squirrel’s are hoarding pinecones,…
and songbirds are taking flight.
Noticed a nip in the wind today,…
as fall-flowers are still abloom.
October now getting closer,…
Tahoe’s autumn is coming soon!
All of the above. (Nice poem, by the way)
Fall is my favorite season. It’s the anticipation. . .everybody’s trying to predict what winter will bring, but nobody really knows.
We still have warm days but cool nights and mornings. The meadow trails are all ours, beaches too in the evenings. And the water is still warm. Sunsets are getting good! Love Fall!
Ditto to all and I actually feel some anxiety thinking about the first snowfall and having to drive in it. Weird huh? 30 years later I still flash back to the first time I drove in to the basin during Winter and how magical it was to see “Tahoe”. A place I’d only heard my HS friends talk about coming to for vacation. It’s still magical, with some revisions and upgrades.
Change in colors, cooler weather, bust out the jacket, football and friends.
Holiday seasons, spending money, material crud, rain, dirty water, upcoming snow and more winter gear I can barely afford.
