Hwy. 28 delays expected on Saturday

Caltrans paving operations are expected to cause delays Sept. 24 from noon-8pm on Highway 28.

caltransExpect eastbound and westbound lane closures from National Avenue to the junction of highway 267 and 28.

This paving is part of a 9.4 mile $46 million environmental improvement project from Lake Tahoe State Park to Highway 28 and Chipmunk Street to the California-Nevada state in North Lake Tahoe.

    Been delays all frigging summer and some the fixed spots are nothing short of a wash board.

    Best road in town the loop behind Harrah’s,California can’t figure out how lay a smooth surface.

    Oh sure, they pave on the day that the Lake Tahoe Marathon’s bicycle race portion goes around the lake!
