Lodging properties being sought for Tahoe cycling program

Tahoe Lodging for Cyclists is a program for developing a network of lodging properties around Lake Tahoe to serve the needs of visiting cyclists.

TLC properties must meet minimum bicycle-friendly standards to become a member of the network and receive benefits in return.

    I stayed in such a ‘bicycle hotel’ while visiting Amsterdam almost 20 years ago. It made seeing the sights in and around that amazing city from the seat of a bicycle sooo convenient. Catering to California’s huge bicycling population only makes sense as we move our economy to a more outdoor recreation, walkable / bikeable, geotouristic oriented economy. Now we need to fast track the infrastructure improvements necessary to ensure cyclist safety and enjoyment.
