A man walking on Ski Run Boulevard near Forest Avenue in South Lake Tahoe was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle.

South Lake Tahoe police officers did not have specifics on the injured man – like his age, hometown or current medical condition.

The accident occurred Sept. 4 at 7:49pm.

Arrested at the scene was Larry Halverson, 60, of South Lake Tahoe. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence as well as causing bodily injury. An enhancement was added because of prior felony convictions that resulted in time spent in prison.

As of Wednesday afternoon Halverson remained in El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe on $230,000 bail.
