Did they forget to inform the candidates? I haven’t received any notice from them at all. This was the first I have heard of it.

Not only did they fail to inform the candidates but this Election Forum is not calendared under “Future Meetings/Events” on the Regular Board Meeting Agenda for 9/1 or 9/15 nor the Special Board Meeting Agendas that followed even though other items on the same date are shown.
In past years, 2007 and 2009, my records show they had the consideration to let the candidates know of the date of the EEC Candidates Forum in late August and early September.

    OOPS, STPUDS

STPUD finally realized that their Candidates Forum would be more informative if the candidates were invited!
    Six days notice!
Soroptomists had the class to invite candidates a month prior.

    THANKS,
    Mr. Butz

John, you must realize that their choices have allready been ordained by them and that this forum is a joke. They are supposed to choose a candidate to support based on the answers to the questions they pose at the forum but it’s allready been decided. Don’t you remember the last one we attended? All that forum was as this one will be, is a chance to attack anyone that threatens them as they did us at the last one. Good luck and I will see you there.

I know I just go for their personal attacks on me and their soft touch for the union anointed candidates. It’s never fair but it exposes their true agenda to the ratepayers who attend.

Heck John ,they more less hung you out to dry when you wouldn’t go along with the street, highway deal, I like the old cars, the corvair still running strong in New Zealand.New Zealand was the greatest improvement in life after exercising the Tahoe Shining experience.

John, do you really believe if you are elected, you could make a real differences in how this lacking practical application or actual existence, hypothetical City is RAN, TO A DEGEREE OF GOOD LOGIC, INSTEAD OF HOG WASH POLTICS ,same old retreads back stabbing bunch ?

In all honesty, I think you got “TOO MUCH CLASS FOR THEM”

I rather you stay in your shop of honest pride, good wit, good spoken ideas, than become another agency member with too much egg on their face, in need of tar and feathers and a fast trip down a raging river..

    Who are the “Anointed” candidates?

  8. Skibum says - Posted: October 6, 2011

Whomever the unions endorse both public and private and donate money to both public and private. 68% ( a figure obtained by asking the question of a STPUD representitive) of the employees do not live in the district. All of the candidates look competent as well as qualified but all of them would be wise to not take any money from them nor be endorsed by them to remove any doubt of future conflicts.

Why should STPUD’s candidates not be swept into office on a raging river of status quo money? This is how it works in “Corporations are people my friend”…. Romney. … GOP SCOTUS “money is free speech, Corps are people”. This despicable ruling brought to you by the trickle downers.
