Washoe County offering tips on being cyber safe

Keeping people safe online is the goal of October’s National Cybersecurity Month. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office wants to help by providing daily cyber safety tips on Twitter.

The series of 31 tips covers topics ranging from identification theft to cyberbullying. Residents can have the information sent directly to their Twitter feed by following “WashoeSheriff” on Twitter.

Daily tips will also be distributed directly to members of AlertID and available online.
