• Mike Bradford, owner of Lakeside Inn Casino in Stateline, has been appointed to the board of directors for the Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District.

• Pamela Harris, 56, of Placerville has been appointed director at the California Employment Development Department.

• Mtn. Mike’s Sports in Squaw Valley has a new website.

• El Dorado County offices will be closed Dec. 23, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

• Debbie Akin has been appointed to the El Dorado County board of education.

    Bradford has been very active in the Stateline Nevada community and is working to revitalize the business environment. “We look forward to Mr. Bradford’s insight and participation,” said Chief Sharit.
    Bradford was appointed during the December board meeting to fill a vacancy left by the recent resignation of Trustee RJ Clawson. The Fire District would like to thank RJ for his dedicated service and wish him the best with his growing business endeavors.
    Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District is an “All Risk” Department providing Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression, Advanced Life Support, Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Forest Fuels Management, and Emergency Rescue. The dedicated professionals respond to 2000 emergency calls annually. The Fire District currently holds an ISO rating 3.
