Truckee hires police chief from San Joaquin Valley
Adam McGill, 39, has been hired as Truckee’s police chief. He will be sworn in Feb. 22 at 4pm.
He was the police chief in Newman, a small town in the Central Valley. For the last 18 months, McGill has worked for the U.S. State Department in Iraq as a senior police adviser.
McGill has a master’s degree in emergency services and 20 years of experience in law enforcement.
McGill’s wife and two children will join him at the end of the school year.
He replaces Nicholas Sensley who retired in November.
