U.S. Forest Service fuels management crews are scheduled to begin prescribed fire operations in Placer County Tuesday. Operations will take place at the end of Silver Tip Drive near Sunnyside.

The operation is small, approximately one-half an acre and will last one day.

Residents and visitors can expect to see smoke from this prescribed fire project area. The Forest Service strives to minimize the impacts of smoke on local communities.
