About 4 inches of fluffy, white stuff fell in South Lake Tahoe overnight. The National Weather Service in Reno says the winter weather advisory remain in effect until 4 this afternoon.
The Reno-Carson City-Carson Valley area faces a hazardous weather outlook for Monday. Expect delays on Highway 395 because of snow.
“A series of low pressure systems will move south along the Sierra throughout the upcoming week. A system on Wednesday will bring the next chance of precipitation to the region, with another system moving in for the weekend,” the National Weather Service reports.

AH!!!…FINALLY!
I had bad thoughts that we’d have another 1981-1982 Winter, with maybe the same March Madness. I can’t wait to go out and shovel (OK, I’m lying).
Looks like 4 inches of nice fluffy snow this morning here in the Sierra Tract.
Maybe I can catch a ride with someone tomorrow to Sierra, or catch their shuttle at Push.
It’s probably the lightest, driest snow we’ve gotten all season. Unless it warms up a LOT it shouldn’t pose any problems for anyone on the roads. It was almost FUN to shovel!
