Truckee resident competing in World SUP Championships

Truckee’s Jay Wild is serving double duty for Team USA, racing in the technical and distance divisions at the ISA World SUP Championships.

This is Surfing America’s first time to participate in the PacSun USA Stand Up/Prone Paddle Team competition. The event in Miraflores, Peru, runs Feb. 19-25.

Wild is considered one of the best racers in the nation and is highly regarded and feared by fellow competitors for his speed, endurance and technical skills that he honed in the tricky waters of Lake Tahoe.
