STPUD’s 5% and 2% raises probably correlate to a raise for their employees ? It’s ridiculous that a gov’t agency can simply raise rates rather than cut staffing and cut salaries like everyone else has to and then set up an impossible requirement that a majority of the public has to protest the increases before they have to listen. LTN should investigate the salaries of STPUD employees compared to increases in sewer and water and help us sue this agency for falsely stating they have to raise rates because the cost of service is gone up when its simply the salaries of employees that have gone up

STPUD sends out their proposed rate increases to all affected customers. Why don’t they send out their proposed budget showing the current and new planned spending?

Frank, I wish you would share more of your inside knowledge about employee salary raises at STPUD since you seem to be so informed on that subject.
I am a STPUD employee and have not had a raise in over 3 years and the proposed rate increase, if it is passed, will NOT result in a raise for me. So I would personally appreciate you sharing your documented proof to substantiate otherwise.
You have basically implied that the proposed rate increase is being disguised somehow to raise salaries and not for the purposes stated in the Proposed 2012/13 Budget.
If your statements are true, they will come as a surprise to those of us who have not received raises, sought raises, or anticipated a raise if the rate increase is approved.

Gosh Dale, I do not remember you complaining about those same medical benefits that you and your family benefited from for the 4 years you sat on the STPUD Board. I will not get in a peeing match with you over anything related STPUD. You can pee standing up – I cannot. I bow to your greatness for that ability!

Jeri, Your response doesn’t address your previous post or mention the increases that you will get or have received.
